The Girl Fund: Bettering the Lives of the World's Girls

The Girl Fund - a new initiative of the United Nations Foundation - will provide a vehicle for donors to support the work of the United Nations and civil society to improve adolescent girls' lives worldwide through delay of marriage, improved access to health care and life-skills training, increased opportunities to continue school, and income generating opportunities. This funding mechanism will support the United Nations' work to elevate the rights and needs of the world's 600 million adolescent girls living in the developing world.
